Announcement – Due to the weather, the Kickoff for Manawa’s 150th Anniversary will be held inside the City Hall at 3 p.m. today. Please pass the word and share.

Kick-Off Event

August 1, 2024

Manawa’s 150th Anniversary Kick-off Event 3:00 p.m. at Triangle Park with guest speakers: State Rep. Kevin D. Petersen & State Sen. Rachael A. Cabral-Guevara. The celebration continues at the City of Manawa’s “Manawa Night Out”, 4:30-7 p.m. at Manawa Rodeo Grounds. Visit with Police, Fire, DNR, ThedaStar (5-6 p.m.), Manawa Cowboys football, kids games, free food, drink, music & bouncy houses.”

Scavenger Hunt

August 1 – 3, 2024

Join in the fun, explore beautiful Manawa and be the first to discover the joys of Manawa’s historic past on this short walking tour! Pick up your Scavenger Hunt list at Lindsay Park during Manawa Night Out on Thursday Aug. 1st at 4:30 p.m. Turn in your completed entry at Triangle Park on Sat. Aug. 3rd for prizes between 2 – 3 p.m. (during the Time Capsule event). Individuals and families are welcome to enter. Good luck!

Concert in the Park

August 2, 2024

6:00pm – 9:00pm — LWHS Band & Chorus Concert at Triangle Park
Followed by Bluegrass Band – Ryan Thompson & Townline
Free will offering for LWHS Performing Arts – Bring a lawn chair. There will be concessions offered.

Browse through the historical photos (Mon-Thur 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fri – 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.) dating back to 1874 when Manawa was just starting to grow and businesses were sprouting up.

August 3, 2024

Join City of Manawa for Copper Box Band celebrating Manawa’s 150th Anniversary – Aug 3rd, 6-9 p.m. 2nd St., downtown Manawa. Food Trucks will be provide many food options. There will be a fireworks display after the band.
