 The City of Manawa and Township of Little Wolf have hired attorneys as they work toward an intergovernmental agreement (shared costs) to replace the dam. State and federal grant funding for the dam replacement has been denied.  The Manawa City Council encourages all residents that have concerns or questions about the replacement of the dam to attend the October 20th Council Meeting and voice their opinion.  The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.  


— Trick or Treat hours for City of Manawa will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 4:00pm – 6:30pm.




The Manawa Veterans Freedom Park SPLASH PAD – LAST DAY OPEN is September 1, 2025. Hours while open: 10am – 8pm, 7 days a week.


— Brush pick up: July 7, August 4, September 8 (due to Labor Day), October 6. Brush must be out before the day of pickup. Place brush parallel with the curb. No pieces longer than 6 feet. If you have a lot brush make smaller piles. If pieces are longer than 6 feet and aren’t making smaller piles of brush, it will not be picked up.


– Up to 6 hens allowed.

– No roosters.

– No free range chickens allowed.

– There are size and location restrictions for the chicken coop.

— Dog tags are available for 2025. $5.00 for neutered/spayed dog. $10.00 for non-altered dog. Please bring updated rabies vaccination to the Manawa City Hall when registering your dog.


Burning – Yard waste can be burned in the months of April-May and October-November.  Burning hours are 6pm – 10pm. Piles can not be any larger than 3 feet wide x 3 feet high.  Residents need to follow burning condition restrictions set by Wisconsin DNR. STEP VOLUNTEERS: Senior citizens can save on their property taxes by volunteering in the schools through the Senior Tax Exchange Program. Contact Manawa School District at 920-596-2525 for more information.

If you would like an absentee ballot mailed to you please contact the city clerk at 920-596-2577 or go online to https://myvote.wi.gov to apply for an absentee ballot. 

Voting for the City of Manawa residents will be at the City Hall, 500 S. Bridge Street.  Polls will be open 7am – 8pm.

Remember to bring your photo ID along with you when you come to vote.

City Council meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:00pm at the Manawa Municipal Building.  The meetings are open to the public.


Please remove all SNOW and ICE from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall. The full width of the sidewalk should be cleared. If you fail to remove the snow and ice the city will send a notice. Only one notice will be sent per season. The city will clear any snow and ice after first notice and will bill accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation with this. Reminder…. do not push snow across the city streets.
